Illinois will have a total of nine extended weekends in 2018. Besides the usual holidays like New Year’s and Christmas, the “Land of Lincoln” will dutifully observe Lincoln’s Birthday (Friday, February 12th) and Thanksgiving Friday, which is only a holiday in half of U.S. states.
