Utah will have as many as seven extended weekends due to holidays in 2018, including national holidays like New Year’s Day and Christmas Day and Eve. And Utah also has a unique holiday called “Pioneer Day” on July 24th. Pioneer Day commemorates the arrival of the first Mormon settlers in Utah in 1847 and is observed with reenactments, fireworks, and rodeos.
