Vermont Public Holidays 2024, 2025, and 2026

In addition to major holidays celebrated across the country, the first Tuesday of March is Town Meeting Day in Vermont where citizens meet in about 40 towns across the state to discuss any issue. It also a day set aside to elect local officials, approve budgets and conduct other local business. Bennington Battle Day, celebrated on August 16, commemorates the American victory over the British at the Battle of Bennington in 1777.
