State holidays for Missouri are listed below for current and future years.
Missouri celebrates Lincoln’s birthday on February 12 and President’s Day on the third Monday in February. The governor may decree the Friday after Thanksgiving as a holiday for state employees in Missouri. Truman Day is also celebrated on May 8 each year in the state. This holiday is in honor of Harry S. Truman who became President of the United States upon the death of Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1945. The holiday was established because Truman was born in Missouri and returned to the state after he left the White House.
